Kweba de Oro

On our way to the Kuweba de Oro... we will enter via the exit point

We stopped and rest for awhile before we could find the cave. Its a downhill thats why its a bit tiring at first

The exit of the cave, but for us with low budget we enter from here. One has to go underwater twice in a small chamber before we can see the huge chamber wherein one can stand.

Thats where we enter, ouch... my head got bumped twice. it has really small space for us to move around. we did "pasa-pasa" system. Four enter first in the first chamber, the 3 move to the next chamber. Then, the last two person enters the first chamber and pass one by one to the next chamber
Really dark inside, no lightRest again, me and my group.
Take a look of my staff harry, holding on the side since the water is too deep. Good thing, i know how to swim.
Stalactites of the cave... very amazingThe adventurer... we now accepts caving package in Cagayan de Oro City. You may contact us at 088.8578211 / 088.2315845 and look for Ms. Elvie, our Tour Manager.

Stalagmite formation
a newly formed stalagmite

Macahambus Cave

I never thought we have this in my place.... Macahambus Cave... we might have neglected this site but it has an important role in our lives for Kagay-anon. Its the site of the last stronghold of the Filipino Soldiers during Philippines-American war in 1900.
Many Kagay-anon during the war seek refuge in this cave.

The original entrance of the cave... thanks to the city govt, they just replace a very nice and solid flatform where one can have a birds eye view of the beautiful Cagayan de Oro River-site for White Water Rafting
Inhabitant of the cave...

The entrance now to the cave... the old entrance became the end point of it.
